Improved performance and visual cues — Changes towards improving performance for a smooth customizable experience. Updated visual cues (embeds & messages) with new emojis and information.
New naming pattern — Added {privacy} naming variable, which gives a secure name to created VCs.
New options — Added fallback to /setup, allowing admins to set a fallback strategy when the main VC category hits Discord's limit (50 VCs per category). Options range from disconnecting and logging to auto-creating a category. Also added fallback_strategy and fallback_category to /settings setup for editing these settings.
Points system — New points system based on global stats, rewarding players for XP and channel-creation milestones. /profile now shows your points.
Website — Improved documentation and added an XP calculator to track progress and view XP & Points information.
New command — Added !stats (aliases: !xp, !vs-xp, !sync-xp) to showcase server stats.
Changes — When the main VC category reaches its limit, a fallback category is created by default unless admins configure otherwise.

User Follow

Added User Follow — A new feature that allows users to request a follow on other users; upon acceptance, the requester is automatically moved to the requested user's voice channel unless it's a join-to-create channel or the requester doesn't have access to that voice channel.
New commands — Added two new commands: !follow and !unfollow. Both have been added to the documentation for further detail.
Changes — Added visual cues for running commands in unmanaged channels and for lack of permissions; if the bot lacks any needed permission it will follow up with a message stating those permissions to help server administrators debug permission issues.

Performance and Improvement

Multi-setup support — You can now create and manage multiple setups for the bot.
Naming patterns — Added support for naming patterns so your voice channels can follow a consistent format.
Performance improvements — General performance improvements across the bot.
Commands updated — /config and setup have been updated to stay consistent with these changes.

Settings, VC Limits & UI

Config renamed to settings — The configuration command is now /settings (replaces /config).
Custom VC limits per setup — You can now set custom voice channel user limits for each setup individually.
Improved setup organization — Setup management in /settings has been reorganized for clearer layout and easier use.
Overall aesthetics — General UI and visual improvements across the settings view and related interfaces including profiles.

Status Command & Setup

New command — Added !status, which allows users to set or change the status for their voice channels.
Interface — Added a new option for voice status in the VC interface.
Changes — Removed level-up and staff role creation options from /setup; those are now set up manually by users to make /setup less pushy. The bot no longer requires the Manage Roles permission.

Chat History, VC Sync & Setup

New option — Added chat_history as an option in /settings setup, allowing users to disable ReadMessageHistory permissions for their setups.
Major changes — Created VCs are no longer synced with the category they're created under; it's a limitation that was resulting in malfunctions regarding the autoban feature, a trade-off between removing autoban or keeping it.
Major changes — Removed cmds channel from auto-creation in /setup, making prefix commands completely optional given that each command now has a corresponding slash command counterpart.

Allow Option & Voice Activity Logging

New option — Added allow as an option in /settings setup, giving users the option to allow only a set of 5 roles to access created VCs in whatever setup they choose. This was added mainly to compensate for the removal of synced permission with category.
Expanded voice activity logging — Added more logs for temporary VC activity.

Custom Branding, Guides & VC Limit

Custom Branding — Added an option that allows server owners to customize the bot's profile in their server. It's free for now with a 2-minute cooldown but may be paywalled in the future due to how spammy it can get. Edit the bot's profile using /settings bot; /settings view will also display your bot's custom profile.
Website — Added a guides page that includes guides and tutorials.
Changes — The VC limit for any setup created is ∞ (unlimited) by default. All settings are accessible in /settings setup.

Ping, Level Roles & NSFW

New command — Added /ping to allow users to check on the status of the bot.
New option — Added NSFW option in /settings setup to allow admins to mark voice channels as NSFW.
Role per level — Added /level add, /level remove, /level list, /level mode to allow admins to assign roles on level up based on level. Admins can choose between stacking and replacing so roles match their guild's aesthetic.

Toggle, Interface Message & Autoban

New command — Added /toggle to allow admins to freely enable or disable any feature they'd like.
New option — Added interface_message option in /settings guild, allowing admins to set up a custom message for the in-voice interface. Added two new variables: {mention} and {ping}; these can be used in the custom interface message.
Fixed bugs — Fixed a few bugs related to Autoban; it is now fully implemented and functioning properly.

Slash /vc & move category

Commands renamed — All voice slash commands now live under /vc instead of separate /vs-* commands (for example /vc lock, /vc allow user, /vc hide). /autoban stays its own command.
New option — Added move_category to /settings setup, allowing admins to choose a category where temporary voice channels are moved while they are locked or hidden (private). When you unlock or reveal, channels can move back to their normal home category.

/vc permit, /vc unpermit & Interface

Bug fixes — Fixed permission issues when a setup has specific allow roles.
Renamed command — Renamed /vc allow to /vc permit.
New command — Added /vc unpermit, allowing users to remove access given to other users using /vc permit.
Interface — Added two new interface options for both permit and unpermit.
Note — Both /vc permit and /vc unpermit behave differently from ban and unban.

/vc transcript (Premium)

New premium command — Added /vc transcript, allowing Overseer tier and above to export an HTML transcript of their VoiceSync voice channel’s text chat.

Autoban Rewrite & Permissions

Autoban rewrite — Autoban has been fully improved and rewritten. The old logic was redundant, slow, and introduced unnecessary tradeoffs that increased the bot’s complexity. That’s no longer the case.
Tier changes — Autoban slots now scale as Free 15, Guardian 25, Gatekeeper 35, Warden 45, and Overseer unlimited.
Behavior change — Autobanned users are no longer preloaded into voice channels. Instead, they are automatically kicked and banned upon joining.
More flexibility — This rewrite allows admins to better control how permissions are handled in their voice channel setups.
New option — Added permission option to both /settings setup and /setup, giving admins full control over their configurations.

VC Visibility & Prefix Commands

Bug fixes — Fixed major bugs related to hiding and revealing VCs.
Prefix commands — Prefix commands have been renamed to match slash commands.

Languages, Per-Setup & Slash Only

New language — VoiceSync now supports both Arabic and English as primary languages using /settings guild (more to come soon). If you come across any bugs or issues regarding translation or functionality, please let us know.
New option — Added placement to /settings setup, allowing admins to choose the position of each newly created temporary VC in its corresponding category.
Customizability expansion — Features, interface, custom interface message, and much more are now customizable per setup and are no longer guild-global.
Temporary moderators — The tempmods feature can now be disabled per setup, and their permissions are customizable per VC. Channel owners can modify what temporary mods can do in their channel via the interface.
Interface — The interface has been improved with new buttons for various uses, including managing temporary mod permissions.
New naming placeholder — Added {display} as a new naming pattern, allowing admins to have channels named after their owner’s display name.
Extended advanced setup — Advanced setup gives admins the ability to customize their setup during its creation process.
Major change — Prefix commands have been disabled. Moving forward, VoiceSync is exclusively slash-command based.
Major change — Ban and permit overwrites are now wiped on channel claim/transfer. If owner A had user A autobanned and the channel was claimed or transferred to owner B, that ban overwrite is removed—meaning autobanned user A has a brief window to rejoin the VC before getting autobanned again.
Plans — More languages and pets are coming soon.

TempMod, Interface & Autoban

New command — Added /vc temp clear. Channel owners and voice staff can now clear all temporary mods with a slash command without having to rely on /vc info or /vc temp list.
New command — Added /vc temp manage. This command allows users to manage TempMod permissions without having to rely on the interface.
Autoban from the interface — A new Autoban button on the control panel lets channel owners add users to their autoban list without running a command.
New TempMod permission option — When managing temp mod permissions, owners can now choose Kick, Ban, or Both. Temp mods with Both can kick and ban.
Interface cleanup — The Clear mods button was removed from the control panel to reduce clutter. You can still clear via /vc temp clear, or the Clear mods button on /vc info and /vc temp list.
Improved setup sequence — The setup sequence has been improved even further.

Ukrainian Language

New language — VoiceSync now supports Ukrainian (Українська) alongside English and Arabic. Server admins can set the bot’s language using /settings guild.

Webhook & Logs Expansion

New option — Added webhook to /settings setup, giving admins the ability to toggle logs on and off by simply choosing whether to include a webhook or not.
Logs expansion — Logs have been both improved and expanded, including new activity logs and much more.

Web Interface & Languages

New languages — VoiceSync now supports Russian (Русский) and Turkish (Türkçe) alongside English, Arabic, and Ukrainian. Server admins can set the bot’s language using /settings guild.
Web interface — Introducing the VoiceSync dashboard at modsync.app/dashboard. Sign in with Discord to manage guild settings, voice setups, interface options, autoban lists, and more from your browser—no slash commands required.

/vc delete, /vc bitrate & Setup Options

New command — Added /vc delete, allowing channel owners to permanently delete their current voice channel.
New command — Added /vc bitrate, allowing channel owners to set the audio bitrate for their current voice channel.
New options — Added bitrate, interface_title, and interface_description to /settings setup, giving admins default bitrate control and the ability to customize the in-voice interface panel title and description per setup.

/find Command

New command — Added /find, allowing voice staff to find users in managed voice channels.
Old command — Removed /vc duration
New options — Added a new option User to both /profile and /vc xp, allowing users to view each other’s voice channel activity.

Follow Blocks & Transcript

Follow blocks — You can now block users from sending you follow requests. Blocks are global across every server using VoiceSync.
New commands — Added /vc follow block, /vc follow unblock, and /vc follow blocks. You can also press Block on a follow request DM to decline and block in one step.
Dashboard — Manage your follow block list from the VoiceSync dashboard under your profile’s Block list.
Guides — Guides have been updated for better comprehension & smoother reading experience.
Disabled — /vc transcript has been disabled and is no longer available.

/vc lfm & /vc nsfw

New command — Added /vc lfm, allowing users to post a looking-for-member request for their voice channel.
New command — Added /vc nsfw, allowing channel owners to mark or unmark their voice channel as NSFW.

Transcripts, Follow Time & Privacy

Added transcripts — Added back /transcript, giving premium users the ability to take transcripts of their temporary voice channels.
Added follow time — Expanding on the pre-existing user stats, follow time is now displayed using /profile.
Privacy toggles — Using /profile, you can now disable your visibility in transcripts. Any transcript taken will exclude messages sent or initiated by you.

Dashboard, Mobile & Permissions

Extra owner permissions — Added the ability for admins to choose which permissions users receive when creating a temporary voice channel. Visit the dashboard for more information.
Don't sync permission inheritance — Temporary voice channels can now be created independently without copying permissions from either the category or the join channel.
Mobile support — The website is now functional and usable on mobile, including accessing the dashboard and editing server settings.
Dashboard update — Added quality-of-life and visual improvements throughout the dashboard.

Custom Filtering

Custom Filtering — Admins can now add custom filtered words and have more freedom alongside the pre-existing default filter system for VCs. Visit the dashboard for more information.
